A lazy partner can make their significant other do two people’s work. The lazy person might expect their partner to earn money, do chores, and care for them while they laze around.
In some relationships, laziness has also led to divorce.
This topic was highlighted in a recent Reddit post in which a man dumped dirty cat litter on his girlfriend when she asked him to clean it.
“My boyfriend dumped dirty cat litter on me”
The author starts the post by saying that she and her boyfriend have been together for four years and living together for two. Last year, her boyfriend got a cat, Milkshake, saying he would care for it. The author also loves the cat and goes out of her way to clip its nails and brush him. But her boyfriend doesn’t like cleaning the litter box and would leave it uncleaned for days. So she does it mostly and doesn’t mind.
Having said that, the author had gone to a friend’s wedding for a whole week and found the litter box smelling and full when she returned. Upon asking, he said that he didn’t feel like it and justified that the cat didn’t mind.
She got irritated and told him that he shouldn’t depend on her to clean the box all the time. He didn’t respond to that and just said alright, fine, and went to the cat’s room.
After 10 minutes, when the author was lying on the couch, her boyfriend threw the litter all over her chest and legs. When she shouted at him, he just shrugged and left the apartment.
Now the author is considering throwing all his stuff out and changing the locks.
