Although an affair is a bad decision, a child from an affair is innocent and deserves a happy life. Unfortunately, such children could find their life hard because they may be a constant reminder of infidelity. They may also have abandonment issues and poor emotional health.

But what if an affair child humiliates their innocent sibling?

This topic was highlighted in a recent Reddit post in which a woman humiliates the groom, her half-brother, by asking him not to be like their father in her speech.

Woman becomes harsh on her sister after she ruined their brother’s wedding

The author starts the post by saying that her sister and brother don’t get along well. While her sister (24 years old) is their half-sibling (her father’s affair child), her brother is her full sibling.

The author’s mother and father divorced after her father had an affair with her sister’s mother. Due to the unavailability of good schools, her half-sister (the affair child) moved in with the author, brother, and their mother during high school.

Her mother was always extra careful not to make her sister feel like an outsider and made her children (the author and her brother) share whatever they got for themselves with her sister.

Despite this, her sister held a lot of resentment and would make rude comments. She also didn’t mingle with their father when he visited. The author’s mother would say that her sister was hurt too and asked them to ignore her.

On the day of her brother’s wedding, her sister made comments on how tacky the champagne was when the bride was around. The author could feel that the bride was hurt but the latter hid it pretty well.

After that, when the author gave a speech on how beautiful the couple was and talked about their life, her sister scoffed and said she didn’t believe anything said in the speech.

On the other hand, her sister just asked her brother not to end up like his parents in her speech. The whole room was silent until her mother took over.

The author pulled her sister aside and said, “You think you’re funny, don’t you? Next time you come near me or my brother I’ll remind you how much of an outsider you really are.”

The author’s sister cried. The author’s aunt scolded her for hurting her sister.

What do you think? Was the author wrong for being harsh to her half-sister after she ruined her brother’s wedding? Share your thoughts below.
